About Grange Park Opera
Grange Park Opera is based in West Horsley Place in Surrey, England. It was founded in 1998 by Wasfi Kani CBE. The opera company has staged more than 75 operas to date. It is one of the major summer opera festivals in Europe.
2022 Season Illustrations – Project Background
Wasfi Kani commissioned Shadric Toop to create a series of illustrations to promote the four new productions for the 2022 Season. The opera titles for the season were:
- La Gioconda, PONCHIELLI – Starring Joseph Calleja
- Otello, VERDI – Starring Gwyn Hughes Jones, Elizabeth Llewellyn and Simon Keenlyside
- Der Fliegende Holländer (The Flying Dutchman), WAGNER (Free staging) – Starring Bryn Terfel
- The Excursions of Mr Brouček, JANACEK – Directed by David Pountney
